Chattanooga, TN — 11/25/19 — Carpetland USA COLORTILE®, the business networking and resource-licensing group and division of Alliance Flooring, Inc., recently held its annual Buying Committee meeting here at the Westin Hotel, November 18-20, to evaluate, discuss and plan the group’s merchandising, promotions and programs for 2020 and review new products. The meeting also included several mill visits and a plant tour.
This most recent Buying Committee was comprised of Carpetland members from five stores with 14 total representatives from those stores.
Members listened to a few key suppliers as they presented new products. Engineered Floors, Shaw carpet & hard surface, Mohawk carpet & hard surface and US Floors were among the suppliers who participated. Open and honest discussion, ideas and feedback was received after presentations.
Kevin Logue, Alliance Flooring’s co-COO and vice president of marketing, said the Carpetland Buying Committee meetings provides members and suppliers face-to-face opportunity to dialog and solve problems. “These meetings give members valuable time with top mill executives to discuss special group buys as well as make merchandising decisions. Being a member of our group allows members to get first-hand product and industry information from the mills to help them grow their business and plan for the future. They also provide valuable time to network and share best practices,” Logue added.
The meeting wrapped up with a plant tour of Engineered Floors in Dalton and product review at their corporate headquarters on November 20.
