Chattanooga, TN — 8/2/23 Debbi Keck and Christina Powers, owners of Floorida Floors in Tallahassee, FL, have joined our Alliance Flooring family as new CarpetsPlus COLORTILE members! We recently finished creating a gorgeous new, well-organized showroom. Debbi and Christina were a pleasure to get to know as they prepare for the next chapter. They have a lot to offer Tallahassee with their business. We put together a showroom package that was ideal for both them and the store’s customers.
Floorida Flooring is a well-oiled flooring machine. It starts with Chicago-area native Debbi, co-owner and founder of Floorida Floors. She handles the books and keeps everyone on track. Debbi was raised just outside of Chicago and started working for Carpetland in 1978. She moved to Tallahassee in 1992 shortly after a new Carpetland opened there. In 2006, after almost 30 years in the flooring business, Debbi opened her own store, turning Carpetland into Floorida Floors.
Christina Powers comes from an interior design background that crossed over into the flooring business. Christina joined Floorida Floors in 2016 as an independent design consultant after having owned her own design firm since 2003. She moved to Tallahassee from her home state of North Carolina. But she and Debbi worked so well together that by 2021, Debbi asked Christina to become her business partner.
