Conroe, TX – Following a visit to this year’s Alliance Flooring Convention in San Antonio as a prospective member, Floor Xpo owner Michael Smith and operations manager Christie Witherspoon made the decision to partner with Alliance Flooring as they prepared to open their new location.

To help bring that vision to life, seven members of the Alliance Flooring team traveled to Conroe to install the complete Perfect Home showroom. The new retail location, paired with a spacious warehouse, sits along a highly traveled corridor with tens of thousands of vehicles passing the storefront each day, providing outstanding visibility for the growing business.
The finished showroom offers customers a bright, inviting environment filled with natural light and a thoughtfully designed shopping experience that showcases the full Perfect Home program.
“After attending the convention in San Antonio, I was blown away by how much it truly felt like family,” said Christie Witherspoon, operations manager of Floor Xpo. “Everyone took the time to answer my questions and made me feel completely comfortable. This group genuinely cares about independent flooring retailers—it isn’t just about the money with them. If you want to be part of a family, this is the group to join.”
Owner Michael Smith shared a similar sentiment.

Witherspoon was especially impressed with the speed and professionalism of the installation.
“It was unbelievable,” she said. “The Alliance team got to work as soon as they arrived and completed the entire showroom in just two days. They are so good at setting up a showroom. Now we have a true sense of completion and readiness that we didn’t have before. We know we have a team standing behind us. They’re unlike any other buying group.”
Floor Xpo Grand Opening
Floor Xpo officially celebrated its new showroom with a Grand Opening on Saturday, August 1. The community celebration featured a chef, snow cone truck, raffle giveaways, train rides, face painting, caricatures, and local businesses that participated with vendor booths, creating a fun, family-friendly event for customers and neighbors alike.
