Chattanooga, TN — 5/20/17  Ryan Dunn and Kevin Logue, CarpetsPlus COLORTILE’s co-COO’s, recently made Floor Covering News’ list of Ten People Making a Difference in their May 8/15, 2017 issue.

Ron Dunn, co-CEO of CarpetsPlus COLORTILE, wrote the following tribute to the younger Dunn and Logue, which appeared in the magazine.

If the grass looks greener on the other side, you need to fertilize your lawn. That is the attitude, energy and approach that Ryan and Kevin bring to whatever challenge or opportunity they might face.

Ryan and Kevin both joined our company in entry-level positions—Ryan in sales support; Kevin in accounting administration. Our rules were simple: Show up early, stay late, contribute more than is asked, know that positional promotions would be delayed and when they come the team will say, “Of course, they have already been functioning in that capacity.”

Ryan and Kevin came in with a passion and vision to make a difference and help make good things happen for our members, their customers and our suppliers. They discovered early on that there is a wide gap between completing a task and having those tasks produce results. Today they continue to ask questions, set goals, measure results, engage with others in our industry and continually raise the bar on growth and improvement.

In life and in business, change is constant and inevitable. With Ryan and Kevin spearheading new initiatives, one thing is clear—the continual evolvement of cutting-edge benefits for our stores will be interesting, well developed and of high quality. More importantly, bringing those programs to market will be fun.

As Babe Ruth said, “You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.” Ryan and Kevin have fought through a lot of battles, including the unique dynamics and challenges of a double father/son relationship in business. Nonetheless, they are charging forward. Their individual personalities and charisma combine to bring progressive, effective, energetic changes and added values to working relationships with our suppliers and members.
